Homeopathy in the Netherlands.. Finland should follow!!

To whom it might concern:

I have been living in Finland now for 2 years, I move here from the Netherlands where I lived for 10 years.
For me it was a shock to see that homeopathy seems to have a strange 'unofficial' status, as I always thought that the nordic countries were all ahead of us!! Finland is certainly ahead in many ways, how come this thing has not been sorted yet?

In the Netherlands over a million people visit the homeopath's practice regularly. The Dutch social security system covers 80% of the consultation price. Everyone with an (optional) insurance that covers 'alternative medicine' will get 80% of the consultation price re-funded. The package includes up to 10 visits a year, this is normally more than enough because one usually visits the homeopath every 6 weeks.

Homeopaths that have studied homeopathy in one of the 5 schools recognized by the Dutch Society for Homeopathy (NVKH) get their consultations covered by the insurance companies automatically, they do not need to get any kind of extra accreditation or pay anything for that.

I am truly hoping that Finland will reach such state with these kind of therapies, especially homeopathy, which has been a blessing for me and my family for many years now... Achieving this would mean making a lot of people's lives easier...
I believe that it would also take pressure off the regular health system by saving them time & money, as I believe that people in general undergo too many unnecessary tests and take too much medication..
